Merry and Bright with Spellbinders

by Michelle Starcher

Hello, paper crafting friends! I’m getting a headstart on my Christmas cards with four awesome new Christmas die cut sets available from Spellbinders. These sets are all part of the Tis the Season collection and work really well together. By mixing and matching these sets, you are sure to make your receipent’s holidays merry and bright.

‘Tis the Season Collection

There are nine sets in the Tis the Season collection, and I used four different ones when creating my Merry and Bright Christmas cards.

Sending Snowflake Kisses

Make the holidays merry and bright by sending snowflake kisses to your friends and family. This card features snowflakes from the Holiday Decorations Etched Dies, trees from the Bottle Brush Trees Etched Dies, and a sentiment from the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil & Die Set. I used pattern papers are from an old Echo Park Paper Co. collection (Holly Jolly Christmas) that I had in my stash. I really love the colors in this collection. To give the trees and sentiments extra dimension, I used foam tape. Then, I sprayed the card with Altenew’s Iridescent Ink Spray to give a little extra sparkle.

Believe in the Magic

This card features ornaments and stars from the Holiday Decorations Etched Dies, a background from the String Lights Background Glimmer Hot Foil PlateDies, and a sentiment from the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil & Die Set. For this card, I used Bright Pink Foil for the string lights background and Gold Foil for the sentiment. Once again, I used foam tape on the ornaments and sentiment to add extra dimension to the project.

Joyful Blessings for All

For the next card, I changed things up and went with a square shape. Once again, I used the Holiday Decorations Etched Dies and the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil & Die Set. I started in the center and build an offset tile pattern with the ornaments. Since I had two different ornament shapes, I alternated them in each row. I added a npiece of green ribbon and the sentiment to complete the card. In addition, I added stars to some of the ornaments.

Happy Christmas

The last card is a little smaller than the rest, but it’s still super cute and festive. Happy Christmas features the Bottle Brush Trees Etched Dies and the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Hot Foil & Die Set. Although the colors are a little more traditional, I am still using the paper from Holly Jolly Christmas. Perfect for gift bags, this small card is sure to make anyone’s Christmas a little happier.

Be sure to check out all of the Tis the Season collections. If you are like me and can’t pick just one, there are lots of options for combining sets as you can tell from the cards above.

Until next time,

Michelle
