You are Stellar: Spellbinders October Card Kit

by Michelle Starcher

Hey there, crafty friends! Today is the first of September, which means new Club Kits from Spellbinders. Today, I am sharing several cards that I made using the October Card Kit, You are Stellar. I love the colors of this kit. The purples, blues, and pale pink look amazing together. Plus you will find both whimsy and beauty in this kit, which offers a lot of variety for your papercraft projects.

You are Stellar: October Card Kit

The Monthly Card Kit contains dies, a clear stamp set, die cut paper shapes, paper, envelopes, and embellishments. Each kit contains at least 200+ pieces and will create 10+ complete cards. This month’s You are Stellar Card Kit includes a 6×6 paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!

I made several cards using the October Card Kit. As I already said, I love the the colors in the You are Stellar set, and I had so much fun playing with all the kit components. I used a little something from everything included in the kit, and I still have so much product left over. I can’t wait to make even more cards with the You are Stellar set.

You’re A Star

I love the gold accents from the paper, die-cut, and stars in this card. The dark blue and the gold compliment each other and help the other pop. The color fade paper used on the top of the card creates a sky-like background that works perfectly for this card. I used the die that came with the kit to create a starry background for the rainbow diecut. Then, I layered some gold stars and a sentiment strip to complete the look.

You Are Loved

As I mentioned, the You are Stellar kit is really versitile. It may be hard to believe, but You are Loved was made using elements from the same kit as You’re a Star. The colors are similar, but the look and feel is completely different. For this card, I layered a subtle polka pattern on top of the bold floral pattern to create the card’s base. Next, I added rose gold ribbon to the tag included in the kit and layered floral diecuts over it. To finish it off, I added a butterfly and sentiment.

You’re All Kinds of Amazing

For this card, I layered floral and light pink cardstock onto a piece of yellow cardstock to create the card front. I used distress ink on all of the pieces to add more texture. In the middle, I added a piece of green ribbon. Once again, I used the die that came with the You are Stellar kit to create the card’s focal point in the center. I layered a floral diecut using foam tape as well as a sentiment strip.

Beautiful

I really love the background paper of this card, and I knew I wanted to use it. To keep the design simple, I layered contrasting cardstock near the middle of the card. For the final touch, I added a quote diecut that I framed with gray cardstock.
