Hello, paper crafting friends! Today I am sharing two Thanksgiving cards I made featuring the Happy Turkey Day Etched Dies from Spellbinders. This set is a part of the Fall Traditions collection. Happy Turkey Day Etched Dies comes with seven thin metal dies to create a cute turkey. It even has a hat to wear for special occasions!
Thankful
For the Thankful card, I layered a fall floral pattern paper on burnt orange cardstock to form the base of this A2 card. Next, I layered a piece of dark brown cardstock and a handmade cream tag. The cream color was the perfect backdrop to make the turkey pop. I used foam tape to adhere the turkey to the cream tag. Finally, I added the “thankful” sentiment over the turkey, which made it look like he was holding the sentiment.
Grateful for You
I just loved the cute little turkey so much, I had to make another card featuring the Happy Turkey Day Etched Dies. This card is super simple to make after you assemble your turkey. I layered a 3/4 inch piece of brown cardstock about a half-inch from the bottom of the A2 card. Next, I added a one and a half inch piece of plaid pattern paper to the card front. Since the cream background worked so well on the Thankful card, I decided to use it again. This time, I backed it with a piece of orange and yellow pattern paper (3×4). Then, I added that piece to the right-hand side of the card. Finally, I added the “Grateful for you” sentiment sticker using foam tape.
