Hi there, it’s Michelle, aka the Bookish Designer. I am super excited to be Blog Hopping with the ladies from Lori Whitlock’s Creative Team. This is the last stop on the blog hop today, so be sure to check out all the team projects if you haven’t already. If you think you may have missed one, you can head back to the beginning at Lori’s blog.
Have you seen the adorable Sunshine Card and Box Bundle (SVG, Silhouette– single files only) Lori has in the shop? When I saw it, I just knew I had to make it for this month’s blog hop. The file comes with three box designs and three card designs, and it is perfect for spreading joy and sunshine to your friends and family.
I made the “Sending you a Box of Sunshine” box to hold all of my cards, and turned the other two boxes into cards. I resized the box to hold the cards. The original size of the box is 11.5 x 6.031″, which makes it the perfect size for a 12×12 piece of paper. However, in order for the box to hold the A2 (4.25 x 5.5″) sized cards, I needed it to be bigger, so I enlarged the box file to 14.778 x 7.736″. In order to cut the enlarged box, I used 12 x 24 cardstock.
In order to make A2 sized cards using the box faces, I enlarged the box fronts to 5.208 x 5.5″. This required me to trim the design once I placed it on the card, but it was easy to do. By using the box fronts to create cards, I was able to fill my box with 5 cards.
Don’t forget Lori has a sale going on today. That makes this the perfect time to stock up on project files for the Spring, like the ones above. Plus, you can grab the freebie while you are there!
